Qatar Eco-Schools Congress 2019 was organized to create a networking event to gather Green Flag awarded schools with registered and other schools to Share, Inspire and Lead change.Young students shared their achievements and was given a platform to have a say in the environmental management policies, activities and practices of their schools and communities.

•Live application for Eco-Schools theme, Food Waste.
25 schools 171 students 40 teachers 14 speakers 13 exhibitors
Food was repackaged and portioned into small, compostable boxes and distributed to construction workers at Qatar Foundation immediately after the event.
Donated: 79 apples, 60 mini burgers, 51 slices of pistachio cake, 234 cookies
Composted : 4 kg food waste

4 themes 7 SDGs 14 speakers 18 moderators
The students had a great opportunity to learn more about Water, Energy, Food and Biodiversity themes. Students shared what they like to change at their schools in relation to each theme in order to transfer their schools to greener and healthier spaces and be more environment friendly. They also discussed the challenges they face, and shared their thoughts and suggested solutions.
Climate Change March
The Eco-Schools program and in collaboration with Arab Youth Climate Movement and Global Shapers, mirrored the recent "Global Climate Strike". Qatar Eco-schools had a chance to share their worries and share their demands to take actions at all levels to cut carbon emissions and thus stabilizing earth's climate.
